Jasper’s beloved WickedCup café is partnering with DON’YA Ukraine’s Kitchen to bring authentic handmade Ukrainian dishes to the Rockies. The collaboration supports courageous Ukrainian women who fled the war and are now rebuilding their lives in Alberta—one perogy at a time.

In a heartfelt collaboration between Decore Hotels’ WickedCup and DON’YA Ukraine’s Kitchen, authentic Ukrainian flavours are coming to Jasper, Alberta. Starting in June 2024, the popular café—located inside the Maligne Lodge—will serve handmade cabbage rolls and varenyky (perogies) crafted by Ukrainian women who recently arrived in Canada after fleeing war in their homeland.
This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Decore Group to support Ukraine. According to CEO Karyn Decore, the company has raised over $40,000 for humanitarian aid, in addition to donating goods and time. The new menu partnership celebrates heritage, resilience, and community, while giving Jasper locals and tourists a taste of Ukraine.
“We are so happy to announce this partnership and support Ukrainian newcomers by selling their products,” said Decore, a fourth-generation Canadian of Ukrainian descent.
This new partnership is not just about food—it’s about sharing stories, preserving culture, and creating opportunity for Ukrainians starting over in a new country.
